It is often used as a substitute for mahogany because of its resemblance to mahogany. The diameter of the trunk is about 1.5 meters and the height of the tree reaches about 30 meters. The straight-sawn tree is also called "Ribbon Mokko" because the luster and the grain of the tree are parallel to each other.
